Facebook Announcing New Product on June 20

Facebook has announced that it will be launching a new product - and the unveiling will take place on June 20 (Menlo Park, Calif.)... coffee included (as stated and 'displayed via stain' on invite!) :)

Thing is, what is Facebook about to unveil? What is this new product? How does it integrate with Facebook user experience? Will it be something that Facebook users will actually take advantage of, make their experience with the popular social platform friendlier or will it be more focused on the advertising aspect of it all?

Facebook has started to make an almost monthly tradition of holding press announcements at its headquarters. At its last event, the company announced Facebook Home, an Android launcher, a product that hasn't been particularly well received and works on select Android handsets.

Other press events this year include the launch of Facebook Graph Search, as well as Facebook’s updated Timeline design.

So what does Facebook have in store for us next week? Last year, the social network tested a postcard service with a select amount of users, which allowed you to send your friends physical copies of Facebook images through the traditional mail.

In November, Facebook told us it was testing out price points for the service before launching it to the general public, but as of today the service still hasn’t launched. Could that be it? Is that why the press got tangible invitations instead of typical email invites?

Rumors have also been circulating that Facebook will be launching RSS feeds, allowing users to subscribe to and pull in online content from news organizations, blogs and videos to keep up with news. The coffee stain on the invite could represent the morning paper, and catching up on the daily news.
